Aiken Blend is proud to be a part of the effort to #connectAiken through arts and music this Fall in Aiken! Our role is to share the #connection stories, promote opportunities for Aiken’s citizens group to engage, and help document the connections that happen. The sheer numbers of people voracious to engage right now in Aiken is crazy. The Aiken City Limits Music Festival is a whole weekend in the middle of the campaign where we can just celebrate new connections, build some more, and have fun in the process. Connecting through music!
Mini-events are the primary method to engage different groups throughout September – November. We’ll take a break in December and then hit is hard in January to try to get some of the new collaborations and ideas into the action category!
You can keep up with mini-events as they are added via the Aiken City Limits Music Festival Facebook page Events link here.
Currently Announced Mini-Events:
September 19. Houndslake Neighborhood Association and The Inn at Houndslake is inviting the community for an Evening of Dancing to the Sounds of Third Time Charmers.
September 29. The Highland Park Grille is planning an event for Kalmia Hill and Richland West neighbors with Bear and Friends providing the music (link to come).
October 3. Cocktails and Connections Event Mentoring Seminar at Betsy’s around the Corner upstairs.
October 6. The Aiken Bicycle Advocacy Group is planning a Rock ‘n Ride event to network with riders and non-riders to the sounds of Anybody’s Guess.
Mini-Event tickets are like Beer tokens! All Mini-Events have a $10 Cover Charge to cover the music and other overhead costs associated with events. You can pick up tickets and use them for any or all Aiken City Limits Music Festival #connectAiken Mini-Events. If you miss one, catch the next one. More events are being added all of the time.
If you have an idea for an event that would be a good #connectAiken activity, send us an email at AikenBlend@Gmail.com. The more the merrier. The promotional/collaboration plan to spread awareness is awesome. We have some great media partners like Aiken Bella, Aiken Standard, Atlantic Broadband and tons of social media pages.
Mini-Event Tickets will be for sale via Eventbrite links on each event on the Aiken City Limits Music Festival page. They will also be available in paper format at ticket locations around town including Bravefriend Apparel, The Inn at Houndslake, Pedego Elctric Bikes, and Material Things. More locations will be added soon.
We look forward to seeing you at some of the “mini-Events” and the Aiken City Limits Music Festival – October 17-20. #ThisLittleTownGetsDown!
