Entrepreneur Lilly Ward has been dog training for almost six years now. She is the owner of Pawsitive Dog Training, located in Aiken. Even though this is a relatively new business, Ward is optimistic about the future of her company.
Pawsitive Dog Training came to light in March 2019. The purpose of Ward’s business is to help owners and their dogs communicate correctly. “My goal is to get every owner to feel confident with their dogs.” says Ward.
Six years ago, Ward worked for PetSmart and Petco in Aiken. She has a family of six- including two rescue dogs and two cats. Born and raised in Paso Robles, California. Ward moved to Aiken her Freshman year of high school. She went through PetSmart’s training certification school in Virginia, then went through a second dog training program through Petco. This was when Ward realized this was her passion.
For the future, Ward hopes that she could have an indoor facility where she could train dogs throughout the year. Now she teaches with owners and pets in nearby parks in Aiken. She gained most of her clientele from previous clients while at Petco.
In Ward’s free time, she enjoys hanging out with her family and hiking Hitchcock Woods with her fur babies. She started this company because she wanted to spend more time with her two small children. Ward has a passion for dog training, and if you feel like you cannot communicate with your dog, then you should consider Pawsitive Dog Training.
