Entrepreneur Julie Quattro has been styling hair for 13 years and sees many more in her future. As the owner of The Hair Garage Salon located on the Southside of Aiken, she has seen lots of growth in the charming small town since she first started her business.

About Julie
Julie is originally from Washington state and moved to Aiken in January of 2009 to be closer to family. She has been doing hair since she graduated high school, and has had a passion for it ever since. Julie first started working in Aiken at a Regis salon where she began to build a steady clientele. When she was able to go out on her own, she began working at a booth rental salon in the same location where she owns hers today. After about a year of working at the booth rental, her and four other stylists moved to another salon until Julie knew she needed a change.

Her Salon
On February 26th, 2018 Julie decided to lease the space that was located in the same spot of the previous booth salon she had worked at. She opened the salon with five other stylists, and has added on two new faces to the family. The Salon recently celebrated it’s first year anniversary. The Hair Garage is also a booth rental salon which means stylists are independent contractors. They pay a weekly rate to rent out a station, and run their own businesses from the chair. They have their own clients and each stylist has their own list of unique services. The Hair Garage still has one station available to rent and she encourages new stylists to come and check out the space.
Julie decided to name the salon “The Hair Garage” because of the building’s previous history as a garage. When entering the salon, there is lots of space and bright light that fills the room due to the large windows. The stylists are all very friendly and eager to help. Each stylist station is set up with tool boxes to keep with the theme of the garage. The star of the logo, “Stylin’ Stella”, even wears a belt of hair tools to play on the garage part of the name.
